Because many times moms of T1Ds are just as involved as the one living with the condition. You need a mantra too...
"T1D Mom
Type one diabetes is a journey that you did not ask to go on but are strong enough to endure. You are vital in helping your T1D navigate the peaks and valleys, the perfect and not so perfect days. You help them become T1D strong! You will find connections that would not have been possible without your child's diagnosis. You are more understanding, more compassionate, more responsible because you have a child with T1D. You have a strong connection with your child because they rely on you more than you know. Remember, T1D will not keep them from living life, enjoying adventures, and reaching their dreams, but you must help them understand they need to take it into account. They have T1D, but it does not have them. Allow them to take on the responsibility themselves. Take on this adventure as a challenge. Try not to get hung up on the bad days, but instead, learn, grow, thrive, connect, educate, and feed your soul until there is a cure. Thank you Moms, for fighting this fight with us."
